Proscaline is in a class of compounds commonly known as [[phenethylamine]]s, and is the 4-[[propyl]][[Oxygen|oxy]] [[homologous series|homologue]] of mescaline.  The full name of the chemical is 4-[[propoxy|propyloxy]]-3,5-di[[methoxy]][[phenethylamine]].

Proscaline produces psychedelic effects that can last 12 hours.
