* Anemia and lymphopenia
* Acute onset
* Eosinophilia and neutrophiliae
* Sudden fever with sever neck pain, dysphagia, and dysphonia
* Positive warm-agglutinin  antibodies
 
* Elevated LDH and creatinine concentration
* Sever neck tenderness, redness, and swelling
 
* Elevated WBC count
* Elevated ESR
* Normal T3, t4, and TSH
 
* Abscess may be present on U/S
 
* Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus epidermidis, and Streptococcus pneumoniae are the most common isolated organisms
