Overview
An electrocardiogram (EKG) may be helpful in the diagnosis of autoimmune polyendocrine syndrome (APS) associated hypoparathyroidism which may present with cardiac dysfunction due to hypocalcemia. EKG findings suggestive of cardiac dysfunction due to hypoparathyroidism include prolongation of QT interval.
Electrocardiogram
An electrocardiogram (EKG) may be helpful in the diagnosis of autoimmune polyendocrine syndrome (APS) associated hypoparathyroidism which may present with cardiac dysfunction due to hypocalcemia. EKG findings suggestive of cardiac dysfunction due to hypoparathyroidism include prolongation of QT interval.[1]
