Electrocardiography
- Characteristic ST elevations with PR depression may be noted in all leads in presence of pericarditis.
- In case of pericardial effusion or cardiac tamponade, micro-voltage with electical alternans may be observed which could be due to a swinging motion of the heart in a pool of pericardial fluid.
- Constrictive pericarditis may present with ECG changes consistent with atrial fibrillation.
