Overview
Ultrasound of the affected joints in adult-onset Still's disease may show thickening and increased vascularization of the synovial membrane, and articular erosions.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound may show the following features in adult-onset Still's disease (AOSD):
- Thickening of synovial membrane (due to synoviocyte hyperplasia and edema of the synovial sub-intima)
- Increased vascularization of the synovial membrane
- Articular erosions (increased echogenicity)
