Overview
Surgical intervention is not recommended for the management of tortion of scrotal appendage and epididymitis.Surgery is not the first-line treatment option for patients with hydrocele. Surgery is usually reserved for patients with large amount of fluid and high level of discomfort.Surgery is the mainstay of treatment for scrotal tortion and scrotal cancer.
Indications
- Surgical intervention is not recommended for the management of testiicular tortion of appendage and epididymitis.
- Surgery is the first-line treatment option for patients with testicular tortion.
- The mainstay of treatment for hydrocele is conservative therapy. Surgery is usually reserved for patients with :
- Large amount of the fluid
- Patient`s discomfort[1]
- Surgery is the primary treatment for testicular cancer.[2]
