Overview
An X-ray of the chest can be done to assess Cardiomegaly, Pulmonary oligemia, Dextrocardia.
X Ray
There is no particular role for x-ray in asplenia. However, in patients who have asplenia syndrome, a syndrome associated with complex cardiopathy and situs anomalies of other thoracoabdominal organs, an X-ray of the chest can be done to assess:[1]
In patient with sepsis with concomitant osteoarthritis, a knee X-ray may be helpful to demonstrate a large joint effusion.[2]
