Overview

Treatment modalities for traumatic brain injury patients vary substantially based on the severity of the injury. Treatment ranges from cognitive therapy sessions to radical surgery like bilateral decompressive craniectomies. Guidelines have been set forth regarding the most appropriate management of traumatic brain injury. The context of the situation must be taken into account, and cannot be used in every patient.
