Echogenic masses are echocardiographic findings that attached to the valve leaflet. Possible causes are;

  1. vegetation
  2. myxomatous degeneration
  3. cuspal tear
  4. reduntant chordae
  5. fibroelastoma
  6. fibrinous strand
  7. Lamb's excrescence
  8. Beam width artifact
