Overview
Oophoritis is the inflammation of the ovaries. It is often seen in combination with salpingitis. It is also a complication of mumps.
Causes
Life Threatening Causes
Life-threatening causes include conditions which may result in death or permanent disability within 24 hours if left untreated. There are no immediate life threatening causes for this condition.

- Chlamydia trachomatis
- Mycoplasma
- Nisseria gonorrhoea
- Staphylococcus
- Streptococcus
- Ureaplasma urealyticum
