Indications and Usage
- onychomycosis of the toenail
- fingernail due to dermatophytes (tinea unguium)
Prior to initiating treatment
Appropriate nail specimens for laboratory testing [potassium hydroxide (KOH) preparation, fungal culture, or nail biopsy] should be obtained to confirm the diagnosis of onychomycosis.[1]
