Most patients follow an asymptomatic course. Among symptomatic patients, hematuria accounts for 60% of symptoms and is considered the most common symptom of patients with renal cell carcinoma.
Common symptoms of renal cell carcinoma include hematuria, flank pain, palpable abdominal mass, weight loss and anorexia.

History and Symptoms
Patients with renal cell carcinoma typically present at 60-70 years of age. The most common diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma is based on the incidental finding; whereby most patients are asymptomatic.
Common symptoms of renal cell carcinoma include hematuria, flank pain, palpable abdominal mass, weight loss and anorexia.
Symptoms are often classified as local and systemic.
