Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy may be considered in some cases, especially for those with stage 3 and 4 disease. Cisplatin is an inhibitor of DNA synthesis and is preferred.
Hormonal therapy
Hormonal therapy with progestins and antiestrogens has been used for the treatment of endometrial stromal sarcomas.[1]
Contraindicated medications
Endometrial cancer is considered an absolute contraindication to the use of the following medications:
- Drospirenone and Ethinyl estradiol
- Norethindrone acetate and Ethinyl estradiol
- Norgestimate and Ethinyl estradiol
- Norgestrel and Ethinyl estradiol
