Overview
Findings on magnetic resonance imaging that can be used to predict the presence of transmural colonic infarction in ischemic colitis include colonic pneumatosis and portomesenteric venous gas.
MRI
The MRI finidings that can be used to predict the presence of transmural colonic infarction are as follows:[1][2]
- Colonic pneumatosis
- Portomesenteric venous gas
These findings have not been shown to be effective in ischemic colitis.
