Overview
Mammography can be used in breast abscess diagnosis besides the ultrasound as it helps in differentiating between the breast abscess and cancer.
Other diagnostic studies
Mammography is not used in diagnosing breast abscess. However, it is strongly recommended in cases to exclude breast cancer.[1]
