Overview
CT scan may be helpful in the diagnosis of fibroadenoma. Though not the diagnosis of choice, an oval mass with well defined borders can be seen on CT scan.
CT Scan
- CT scan may be helpful in the diagnosis of fibroadenoma.
- CT scan is not the primary method for evaluating the breast. Usually, breast lesions are found incidentally while interpreting chest scans.[1]
- Findings on CT scan suggestive of fibroadenoma include:[1]
- Oval mass
- Well-defined borders
- Calcified or non calcified nodule
- Heterogeneous enhancement
