Overview
Abdominal CT may be helpful in the diagnosis of essential thrombocytosis.[1] Findings on abdominal CT suggestive of essential thrombocytosis include splenomegaly. A spiral chest CT may be helpful in the diagnosis of complications from essential thrombocytosis like pulmonary thromboembolism in patients with suggestive symptoms.[2]
