The College of American Pathologists (CAP), the leading organization of board-certified pathologists, serves patients, pathologists, and the public by fostering and advocating excellence in the practice of pathology and laboratory medicine.[1]
The CAP is the official society of pathology - board certification a requirement. The American Society for Clinical Pathology is the AMA affiliated society and the other 2 major societies are the USCAP (anatomic pathology) and ASIP (academics).
