Overview
Metrorrhagia refers to vaginal bleeding among premenopausal women that is not synchronized with their menstrual period.
Etiology
- endometriosis
- ectopic pregnancy
- Use of progestin-only contraceptives, such as Depo Provera
- use of an IUD
- cervical cancer
- Uterine Leiomyomas
