Overview
Common CT findings of hepatic encephalopathy include cerebral edena in early stages of encephalopathy.
CT scan
- CT scan of brain can show cerebral edema in early stages of encephalopathy in patients with hepatic encephalopathy.[1]
- CT scan of brain can rule out some other diagnoses in patients with altered mental status.[2]
- Brain MRI, give better diagnostic features of hepatic encephalopathy than CT scan.[2]
