Overview

Electrophysiologic studies are used in decision making with regards to the method and type of pacemaker therapy.

Other Diagnostic Studies

Electrophysiologic Testing

The electrophysiologic study of the AH interval (time taken by impulse to travel from the atrium to the bundle of His) and the HV interval (time taken by impulse to travel from the bundle of His to the ventricles) helps determine the degree of heart block. This also helps in decision making for the insertion of artificial pacemaker
