Overview
In patients with total anomalous pulmonary venous connection, cardiac catheterization can be used as a diagnostic and therapeutic modality. However, with the availability of better non-invasive tools, the use of these is decreasing.
Other Imaging Findings
Cardiac Catheterization
- In patients with total anomalous pulmonary venous connection, cardiac catheterization can be used as a diagnostic and therapeutic modality. However, with the availability of better non-invasive tools, the use of these is decreasing.[1]
CT Angiography
- CT angiography is superior to transthoracic echocardiography in the evaluation of pulmonary venous drainage and obstruction, particularly in infracardiac and mixed subtypes.[2]
- This modality maybe useful, when echocardiography is non-diagnostic.[3]
