WHO classifies Ependymoma into three grades based on pleomorphism, mitotic count, cellularity, vascular proliferation, invasion.

WHO Grade II
- Cellular Ependymoma
- Papillary Ependymoma
- Clear cell Ependymoma
Grade III
- Anaplastic Ependymoma
- Features include
- Increased cellularity and increased mitotic activity
- Microvascular proliferation
- Necrosis
