Overview

The mainstay of therapy include steroid injection, simple excision, liposuction, and ultrasound wave.

Medical Therapy

• Usually, treatment is not necessary for a lipoma unless the mass becomes painful or restricted movement.
• Medical therapy of lipoma includes:

• Steroid injections: This treatment can only shrink the lipoma, but can not completely eliminate the lump.
• Simple excision
• Liposuction
• Ultrasound wave
