Overview
The mainstay of therapy include steroid injection, simple excision, liposuction, and ultrasound wave.
Medical Therapy
- Usually, treatment is not necessary for a lipoma unless the mass becomes painful or restricted movement.
- Medical therapy of lipoma includes:
- Steroid injections: This treatment can only shrink the lipoma, but can not completely eliminate the lump.
- Simple excision
- Liposuction
- Ultrasound wave
