Overview

The risk factors of renal cell carcinoma include cigarette smoking, obesity, hypertension, end-stage renal failure, acquired cystic renal disease, acetaminophen and analgesic drug use, asbestos or trichloroethylene exposure, tuberous sclerosis, von-Hippel Lindau, hereditary paraganglioma, leiomyomatosis, and birt-Hogg-Dube syndrome.
