Overview
Stomach cancer must be differentiated from gastric lymphoma, gastric metastasis, gastritis, benign gastric ulcer, menetrier disease.
Differential diagnosis
The differential can be broad and includes:
- gastric metastasis
- gastric stromal tumour (GIST)
- gastritis
- benign gastric (peptic) ulcer
- Menetrier disease
- secondary changes from pancreatitis (from extrinsic inflammatory change)
