Overview
All hepatocellular adenoma should be surgically resected, because of the risk of rupture causing bleeding and because they may contain malignant foci.[1]
Hepatocellular adenoma surgery
All hepatocellular adenoma should be surgically resected, because of the risk of rupture causing bleeding and because they may contain malignant foci.[2] Surgical resection is not recommended among patients with lesions less than 5 cm. Elective surgical resection is recommended for patients who develop lesions of more than 5cm due to the risk of malignancy.[3]
