- 10-40 yo patients
- Acute onset
- Sudden fever with sever neck pain, dysphagia, and dysphonia
- Sever neck tenderness, redness, and swelling
- Elevated WBC count
- Elevated ESR
- Abscess may be present on U/S
- Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus epidermidis, and Streptococcus pneumoniae are the most common isolated organisms
- Not applicable
