- Middle aged patients
- Majority are asymptomatic

- Often unremarkable
- RTA type 1
- Hypercalciuria
- Bilateral cystic dilatation of the collecting tubules on CT
- Hyperdense papillae with clusters of medullary calcifications
- "Paintbrush-like" appearance
- Medullary cysts lined by cuboidal epithelium
- Severe scarring and inflammation of the interstitium,
- Not applicable
