Angiomyolipoma


* 25-35 yo males
* Fever, chills, night sweats, and abdominal pain
* Asymptomatic
* Hematuria, pallor, and weight loss
* Fever, flank pain ,hematuria, hypertension, nausea, vomiting,
* Tuberous sclerosis


* Palpable mass
* Hypovolemic shock if ruptured


* Anemia
* Costovertebral tenderness
 
 
* Blood vessels, smooth muscle, and mature adipose tissue
* Hemorrhage and necrosis
 
 
 
* Well circumscribe highly echogenic mass on ultrasonography
* Negative Hounsfield units (HU) on CT scan
* Calcification is rare
 
 
* TSC1 and TSC2 gene mutation
* HMB45 Positive




* Elevated WBC count
* Elevated ESR and CRP


* Well defined hypoechoic area within the corticomedullary parenchyma on U/S
* Well defined mass of low attenuation with a thick, irregular wall or pseudocapsule on CT
