Epidemiology and Demographics
Age
Hereditary form of diffuse gastric adenocarcinoma (HDGC) is usually first diagnosed before 40 years of age, sometimes even before the age of 25 years.[1]
Gender
Females are slightly more affected with linitis plastica than males.[1]
Race
Linitis plastica usually affects individuals of the Asian race, particularly the Japanese.[2]
