Overview
Chest x-ray, CT and MRI of chest, abdomen and pelvis may be performed to detect the local invasion and metastasis of linitis plastica to breast, lungs and liver.[1]
Other imaging findings
- Chest x-ray, CT and MRI of chest, abdomen and pelvis may be performed to detect the local invasion and metastasis of linitis plastica to breast, lungs and liver.[1]
- CT and MRI testing may be used in staging of the cancer.[1]
- Upper GI series may be performed when there is a limitation for advancing the endoscope past a mechanical obstruction (for example, an obstructing tumor mass at the gastroesophageal junction).[1]
