Overview
History
The hallmark of Warthin's tumor is a painless lump in the jaw, cheek, mouth or neck. A positive history of pain in your mouth, ear, jaw, throat or neck that does not go away, trouble opening your mouth, numbness in part of your face, and weakness in the muscles or drooping on one side of your face.
Symptoms
Early Warthin's tumor does not have any symptoms. As the tumor grows larger, people may notice one or more of the following symptoms:
- Swollen salivary gland
- Lump near back of lower jaw
- Jaw pain
- Sensation of pressure
- Facial nerve paralysis
- Tinnitus
- Impaired hearing

- Problems swallowing and drooling
- Tearing in one eye
- Problems closing an eye
- Blood in the saliva
