The most potent risk factor in the development of primary central nervous system lymphoma is a weakened or suppressed immune system in individuals who have acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), received an organ transplant and are on immunosuppressants, or an inherited immunosuppressive disorder (IgA deficiency and Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome).[1][2][3]

The most potent risk factor in the development of primary central nervous system lymphoma is a weakened or suppressed immune system in individuals who have:[1][2][3]
- The highest number of cases occur in individuals with AIDS.
- Received an organ transplant and are on immunosuppressants
- Inherited immunosuppressive disorder
