• Bronchitis was first described by Hawn and Schalk in 1931 in North Dakota when day faced a new respiratory disease in chickens.
• Brandly and Bushnell discovered that bronchitis was transmitted and caused by a virus in 1931.
• In 1963, bronchitis was described as a human being respiratory disease in Britain .
