Causes of pulmonary nodule may be classified into 5 categories: infectious, neoplastic, inflammatory, immunological, vascular, and miscellaneous. Common causes of solitary pulmonary nodule, include: tuberculosis, primary lung cancer, granulomas, and rheumatic disease.[1]
