Overview
CT test is not usually indicated for the diagnosis of rhinitis. Clinicians are advised not to routinely perform sinonasal imaging studies in patients with symptoms consistent with a diagnosis of allergic rhinitis.[1]
CT scan
Imaging studies such as CT scan are not routinely required for the diagnosis of rhinitis. However, a CT scan may be required when further evaluation is needed, such as in cases of complicated rhinosisinusitis. CT scans are also usually indicated for the evaluation of atrophic rhinitis.
