Overview
Cysticercosis is classified according to the site of cysticerci into neurocysticercosis and extraneural cysticercosis. Neurocysticercosis is further subdivided into Parenchymal and extra-parenchymal.

Neurocysticercosis:
Parenchymal:
- Inside brain parenchyma (most common site)[1]
Extraparenchymal:
- Eyes (ocular cysticercosis)
- Meninges
- Brain ventricles
- Subarachnoid space
- Spinal cord
