Overview
Echo-cardiogram is one of the important diagnostic tests that play a crucial role in ruling out infective endocarditis as the cause of lung abscess.
Other diagnostic tests
Echo-cardiogram
- It is done to rule out lung abscess suspected secondary to septic embolism from right-sided (e.g., tri-cuspid valve) bacterial endocarditis.[1]
- It reveals vegetation's on the affected valve.
