Overview
MALT lymphoma is the third most common type and accounts for approximately 8% of all cases of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.[1] MALT lymphoma is a disease that tends to affect the elderly population. Most MALT lymphomas occur among individuals aged 60 years.[1] Males are more commonly affected with gastric MALT lymphoma than females. The male to female ratio is approximately 2.43 to 1.[2] There is no racial predilection to MALT lymphoma.[3]
