PET CT
The use of PET CT is not currently used as a standard for the diagnosis or follow-up in renal cell carcinoma, according to the 2013 American Urological Association guidelines.[1] However, its use and advantages are still under investigation.[1]
Bone Scan
Bone scan is recommended in patients with elevated alkaline phosphatase (ALP) to rule out bone metastasis.[1]
Arteriography
Arteriography is not recommended anymore in renal cell carcinoma diagnosis or follow-up
