• CT scan of chest, abdomen, and pelvis

Histopathologic examination

Squamous cell carcinoma

Neuroendocrine carcinoma

Adenocarcinoma and poorly differntiated carcinoma

Additional tests specific to location of metastasis

• Octreoscan
• Plasma chromogranin A

Gender specific tests

Cervical adenopathy

Inguinal adenopathy

Bone metastasis

Male:
• PSA
• aFP
• BHCG

Female:
• Mammography
• Ultrasound or CT scan of pelvis
