Overview

Ultrasound may be helpful in the diagnosis of ameloblastoma. Findings on an ultrasound suggestive of ameloblastoma include cystic mass with solid contents, flow signals, multilocular and honeycomb appearance.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound may be helpful in the diagnosis of ameloblastoma.Findings on an ultrasound suggestive of ameloblastoma include:[1][2]

  • Complex cystic mass with solid contents.
  • No or minimal flow signals to the tumor.
  • Multilocular mass
  • Honeycomb appearance
  • Unilocular
  • Local severe destructive
  • Anterior surface of the tooth inside the lesion
