The Caprini risk score is a risk assessment tool for the occurrence of venous thromboembolism among surgical patients.[1] Please check the boxes that apply to your patient:
Interpretation of the Caprini Score for VTE
The interpretation of the score is as follows:
- Score < 2: Low risk of VTE
- Score = 2: Moderate risk of VTE
- Score = 3: High risk of VTE
- Score = 4: High risk of VTE
- Score ≥ 5: Highest risk of VTE
