Classification
Sarcomatoid carcinoma of the lung can be classified according to WHO classification into 5 subtypes:[1][2]
- Pleomorphic carcinoma
- Spindle cell carcinoma
- Giant cell carcinoma
- Carcinosarcoma
- Pulmonary blastoma
Sarcomatoid carcinoma of the lung can also be classified according to their location including:[2]
- Central
- Peripheral
