Overview
On chest x-ray, Waldenström's macroglobulinemia may be characterized by enlarged lymph nodes, pulmonary infiltrates, nodules, effusion, and congestive heart failure.
Key Chest X-Ray Findings in Waldenström's Macroglobulinemia
Chest x-ray may be used to evaluate the following:[1]
- Enlarged lymph nodes.
- Pulmonary infiltrates: This is especially important in patients who are immunocompromised while receiving chemotherapy.
- Nodules.
- Effusion.
- Cardiomegaly (due to Congestive heart failure).
