* June – August 2018: Clinical Research Title: Optical Imaging Characteristics of Colonic Polyps. Duration: 2 months Primary Investigator: Dr. Nirav Thosani, MD, MPH, Associate Professor and Advance Gastroenterologist in UT Health Science Centre Houston. Description: We assessed polyp morphology during colonoscopy with use of traditional white light endoscopy as well as with novel optical enhancement technology. We collected data regarding polyp size, location, morphology, paris classification, VLE optical diagnosis and optical enhancement technology based optical diagnosis and correlated results with final pathology diagnosis. We determined overall accuracy of WLE based optical diagnosis and compared that against use of optical enhancement technology. I participated in data collection, tabulaton and interpretation.
