Nausea can be prevented by:
* eating frequent small meals instead of three large meals
* eating slowly
* consuming foods that are easy to digest
* consuming food that is cold or at room temperature since smell of warm or hot food can cause nausea
* resting after eating keeping the head elevated
* drinking fluids between meals instead of during meals
Vomiting (after feeling nauseated) can be prevented by:
* consuming small amounts of clear, sweet liquids such as soda pop, popsicles and fruit juices that are not too acidic
* avoid activity and rest in sitting or propped lying position
