Overview
In obstetrics, first trimester bleeding, is bleeding from the vagina during pregnancy in the first trimester (0 weeks-12 weeks gestational age).
Differential diagnosis
- abortion (threatened, inevitable, complete, incomplete, missed, habitual, septic)
- gestational trophoblastic neoplasia
- ectopic pregnancy
- implantation bleeding
- spotting
- lower GU tract causes
- vagina bleed
- cervical bleed
