Surgery is not recommended in Hepatitis C infection. Liver transplantation may be required in patients with end-stage disease.
Surgery
The treatment of hepatitis C usually does not involve surgical procedures. Select cases in which surgery is required involves complications of end stage liver diease, as well as severe decompensated liver failure requiring liver transplantation.
